This month in Base – March 2024

Dear All,

The months fly by, and we’re off to the Buddhafield team gathering in a week or so. This marks the start of our events season, which is another chance to connect with you all in person. It’s been a busy month here in the Buddhafield Base project. We kicked things off on 2nd March with Buddhafield in the City, which you can read all about here.

Shares in Buddhafield Base

At the beginning of March, we welcomed those who invested in shares in the Buddhafield Base project in the last couple of years as full members of the project. This whole venture is intended to bring people together around the core values of Buddhafield Base so we can collectively face the world skilfully. The share offer is one way that we are building community and drawing together people who want to support us in co-creation whilst also pledging funds to help us get to the next stage of the project. We use the community benefit society model for this. You can read more about that in a previous post here. 

Our new members were the first to commit to Buddhafield Base in this way during branch 1 of our offer. I want to take this opportunity to say thank you and welcome. I look forward to meeting people at the Base AGM in December.

What’s next?

We’re continuing our property search and investigating new ways to invite people to participate in the project. During the summer, we’ll be taking ourselves on the road and appearing at festivals and events, as well as having a presence at our own retreats and the Buddhafield Festival.
